Preschool Music Time

Preschool Music Time is a program that I developed to teach music for young kids in a classroom setting.

Being Kodaly Method and Orff Approach trained, I use my knowledge and skills to present different songs and concepts to these young kids, which includes:

  • melody

  • accompaniment (rhytmic sticks, drums, xylophones)

  • speech

  • rhythm and rhythmic patterns

  • keeping the beat

  • memory skills (flash cards)

Since young kids can't read, music comes first. There are great benefits of learning music. Young people can develop a lot of skills, throughout musical games and singing games.

Games give them the opportunity to learn more social skills, to improve their confidence and develop their senses. Music games also teach them discipline.

There are a lot of different music programs offered for young kids. In my opinion, combining singing from the Kodaly Method and using instruments from the Orff Approach is the best. That gives us the opportunity to enjoy our time together and to learn, while we are actually playing games.

My classes are fun!
